Jony Eriksson has a unique way presenting animals in the Swedish nature. Painted in the artist’s own compositions and environment which makes his paintings magnificent and one of a kind. Specifically his feeling for the surrounding landscape. His preferred method is oil and watercolor.
Jony says a lot of his inspirations comes from his childhood in the Swedish archipelago Muskö. The closeness to the Swedish nature and the wildlife gave him great inspiration for his future work. His main inspiration in present times comes from Scotland and the Alps.
Jony also contributed in the illustration industry during the years 1977-1991. With award winning movies under his belt, Swedish classics such as Agaton Sax, Pelle Svanslös, Kalle Stropp and many more.
Work published in establishing houses such as Natur & Kultur and Bonnier. His illustrations also published in Swedens largest newspaper Expressen where he illustrated for news articles and advertisements.
